Blood Lies
Chapter 1: The opening
She lay motionless in the pool of rich red blood
.wishing He would leave and let her die on her own. She would get close to the phone after he had left and phone someone to help her
.anyone!
His name, Damien Cross. His mission, to take Cam ransom for money. Although this mission had not gone according to plan
Cam fought back and he had to shoot her. Now he regretted it as he watched her lie in the blood, motionless.
He swore under his breath as he began for the door, he should never get attached to the subjects
and now it was too late. As he began to turn the knob Cam let out a cry as she had tried to sit up. Damien turned his head slightly toward her, finished opening the door and ran out. He couldnt help her now
and this time he had gone too far. Cam was, ultimately, dead.
Cam finally reached up to the table and out of the blood. She groaned audibly at the pain in her chest and pulled herself to her feet, trying to grab the handset sitting on the desk. Her mind was hazy like the night sky outside and she was almost faint. Cam considered the possibility of death
with her shot chest and loss of blood, their seemed no other option.
Damien ran down the street and round the following corner, he had to get away before the cops turned up. He considered the possibility that Cam would phone someone to help her, but with the state he had left her in, the chances of this were slim yet he wouldnt take the chance. If she were dead, no-one could point him out
Weakly clawing for the handset in her shaking hands Cam attempted to dial the ambulance number with no prevail. In failing this, she decided to yell for help.
Help! Anyone! Please! Cam yelled at the top of her voice. It was just then that she realised no-one could hear her, she wasnt in a community home, she was in a factory. This is how it seemed at least, possibly one with lots of furniture in it. Yet why could she not remember coming here? Had she been drugged? This last thought burned her mind as, once more, she yelled in pain because of her chest. Her mind was still hazy and, realising the phone was not accessible in the state she was in, lay back down in the blood. She did not know how much time she had left to live
..
Chapter 2: Damiens Choice
Damien Cross was quite a thin man. With a weight of 13 stone and height of 6ft 22, he was hardly challenging yet, to his own discomfort, the Hit Man Squad had chosen him to hold Cam for ransom. He pondered why he had to take her from the public school she went to
and why he had to take her at 15 years old. Could she be very important? He tried to dislodge thoughts of Cam from his mind as he jaywalked across the road, almost hitting a car. He had more important things to occupy his mind, like why he was running away instead of helping her out
he shot her and
well he had gotten attached to her. He was only 17 himself and had found her rather attractive. He stopped suddenly, almost banging into the wall in front of him
What made Cam so attractive? Why could he not stop thinking about her? Why was he running away?
Suddenly, out of no-where and as if the stranger had read Damiens thoughts, A girl only about 8 appeared behind him. This young girl with luscious long blonde hair and big blue eyes stared at him intensely before speaking.
You should really confront youre problems instead of running away from them she had said to him.
Damien shut his eyes and considered what she had said before opening them again to find her gone
was this a trick played by his imagination? Whatever it was, Damien spun on his heels quickly and hotfooted it back to the scene of the crime. He would help Cam out
he would defy his superiors and pull the stunt of the century!
Chapter 3- Cams Turmoil
While Damien had been fighting with his conscious in the middle of Baker Street, Cam had been fighting with her will to die
without Damien here and without everyone she once new that made her happy, her life was pretty much pointless. She had already been shot in the chest but
why did Damien not kill her off there and then? Did he feel something in return or was it the simple fact that he could be in trouble if he murdered her? Was he just trying to protect himself?
Whatever it was, Cam was slipping away slowly but surely and no-one could help her now. The blood around her was really deep and could not be replaced
little insects and bacteria had smelt the blood and were making their way to eat it, Cam did not realise a factory like this had so many
Little things like this she began to notice as she slipped into her unconsciousness. Her mind was even more dazed than before and she could barely keep awake but she new she had to
if not to wait whether someone would ever help her. This she had doubted because she was unsuccessful at getting someone across the phone but
there was always hope, perhaps even hope of Damien coming back. She closed her eyes slightly as if falling into a deep sleep
one she may never wake up from.
Chapter 4: The end
As both characters thought of each other, time was ticking away. Each of them fighting with their conscious to just give up. As Damien ran toward the factory, Cam was crying painfully. Damien began to wonder how life could end like this as he burst through the factory door. Running as fast as he could, dodging many loose wires and jumping over the long white bars that kept him from Cam, he rushed to her side as she clutched her chest in agony telling her she would be alright and that she couldnt die on him. Almost in a whisper, Cam spoke to Damien.
I
I thought you left me, What are you doing here? she attempted to say. He replied by stroking the side of her face as he realised he could do nothing to save her. Her death would be his fault and he would live to regret it, He had gotten attached to her. The question was, did she feel the same way? Crying even harder now, which was very unusual for a man of his age, he bent down and gently kissed her lips, trying to tell her how he felt. She responded slightly before screaming in pain. Shortly after silence fell
as Cams lifeless body lay in Damiens arms. She was no longer breathing, fighting for her will to live, she had moved on to somewhere better
where there was no pain and suffering. She lay in Heaven.
